Top 5 Things to AVOID before buying a HOME!

1) Do NOT apply for new credit.

If you apply for new credit it can lower your credit score. When buying a home you want your credit scores to stay as high as possible to get the best possible interest rates.

2) Do NOT increase your debts.

If you make a purchase using credit it can change your debt to ratio income. By changing your debt to ratio income you can change your ability to get approved for a loan.

3) Do NOT change jobs.

Changing your job could delay buying a home. Do not change jobs without talking to your loan officer first.

4) Do NOT spend your savings.

If you spend the money from your savings it could change your loan approval. The money in your savings could be required as reserves for your loan. Check with your loan officer first.

5) Do NOT make any late payments or skip a payment.

This seems like a no brainer. But it is very important to continue to make all of your payments on time.
